Wow! Hard To Fight by Bella Jewel had me mesmerized. I could not put this book down and devoured it in one sitting. The story was fresh, unique, sexy, and was loaded with mystery and intrigue. The characters were dynamic. They came to life and jumped off of the pages. Their plight was enthralling and kept me guessing on which direction this story would go.

Grace has been a bounty hunter for over five years. In those five years she has been given the fluff jobs or the ones that deal with the flat out crazies. She wants a real case, one that makes her career credible. After a huge hissy fit and a drunken night her boss finally gives her a case that she has been waiting for the past five years. This case will prove that she can work along with the big boys and do the job just as well. It doesn’t matter that she is a woman or small in stature. She can get the job done with wits, guile, and worse case scenario, seduction.

She has been given two months to bring in Raide Knox. This case will bring in $30,000. He’s wanted for murder and assault. He did not show up for his trial date and has been on the run since his arrest. Grace plans to bring him in. Luckily for her, she met him briefly before she knew he was a felon on the run. She has an idea of where he hangs and with whom he does.

She has decided to use the seduction route to bring her man in. He is too big, too ruthless, and too cunning to use the normal take down techniques.

What starts out as a quest becomes a stalking. From a stalking to a friendship. A friendship to a romantic relationship. Raide and Grace will go from lovers to enemies. Their love will be the perfect unity that ends in the ultimate betrayal.

Raide Knox is man full of surprises. He may or may not be guilty of the crimes in which he was accused. He is capable of them all. There is always two sides to a story. There are always shades of gray. The world is not black and white. He is seeking his own definition of justice. He is a man on a mission. He will not rest until he commits the final murder. What he didn’t count on is falling in love with his hunter. There is more than freedom on the line, his heart is on the line too.

I could not put this book down. The writing was superb. I was reeled in and hooked in the first few pages. I became a part of this cat and mouse chase. I fell in love right along with Grace and Raide. Their romance had me swooning. My heart broke right along with theirs. In the end I celebrated their the ending of their story. I can’t wait for more in this series.

Bella Jewel has always been an author whose books I have always enjoyed since the first time I read her books. Hard To Fight didn’t disappoint this book whore either. I loved the idea of the female bounty hunter proving that she had what it takes to take down the big boys. I love when a female character can prove that she is just as tough as a man.

Gracie is sassy, bad a$$, and sarcastically hilarious. I loved the first time she meets Raide, I could just picture her busting his balls like she did. Too bad, she finds out the Raide is her newest assignment, one that she needs to prove that she can take on the bigger jobs. She figures she can use the fact that she is female to trick Raide, but what she didn’t take into account was that she’s not a girly girl who knows how to seduce someone like Raide. I had to laugh at her stalker like tendencies even if it was for her assignment and how she reacted when Raide called her out on it. Raide is on the run, he is accused of murdering his sister and beating up her boyfriend, but not everything is as plain as black and white. Raide may be a “dangerous criminal” but Gracie isn’t afraid of Raide, she is extremely attracted to him. Raide has a plan but when certain truths come out from both him and Gracie you wonder what will not only happen next with their relationship but Raide’s future.

Hard To Fight was everything I have come to love when I read a Bella Jewel book. A hot and sexy alpha male, a sarcastic female, action, some drama, sex scenes that will have you reaching for your significant other or favorite toy, and a book that will hold your attention from beginning to end. I have had Hard To Fight on my kindle for a while now and I finally had the chance to read it and I wish I hadn’t waited so long to read this one.
Hard to Fight is packed with lust, passion, danger, angst, heartbreak and redemption. From beginning to end this story will reel you in and keep you hooked. Bella Jewel has once again shown why she is an author that makes you want to drop everything and read. Writing about alpha males is just one of the things Bella does flawlessly.

Gracie has followed in her father's foot steps and became a bounty hunter. She might be a woman but she can put a guy on his ass and shoot a gun better than a man. Being a woman in a man's world isn't easy. For the last five years she has worked her ass off, trying to prove she can be just as successful as one of the guys. Yet no one takes her seriously, she always gets stuck with the little cases no one else wants. That is until her boss gives her one of the biggest cases they've had come in, this is her chance to prove to everyone she is an equal. With so much doubt from her co workers Gracie is full of self doubt and worry.

Raide Knox has skipped bail, wanted for assault and suspected of murder. He's a dangerous sexy wall of muscle, how can someone of her stature bring in a man of his size? Seduction is the only way to try and bring Raide to his knees. Gracie is about to learn the art of seduction isn't simple when it comes to a man like Raide. Let the games begin...

Gracie has been staking him out, finding out his hangouts to find the best way to get his attention, Raide isn't making it easy and she needs to step up her game. Continuously bumping into him has cautions.

"Raide Knox doesn’t like women who flaunt themselves in front of him. No, Raide Knox likes them wild and badass, but more than that, he likes a challenge. I think I finally caught his attention. Now things can really fall into place."

When she captures Raide’s attention the heat between them is hot. She knows giving into her desires could jeopardise her career but it's becoming increasingly hard to say no to the deliciously sexy man in front of her.

"He kisses me. My entire world stops. His lips take mine so quickly, so deeply, I lose my breath."

Giving into temptation ups the game, Raide has made his way under her skin and into her heart. She needs to make the choice, bring him in and protect him from making a mistake or leave him to seek his revenge.

Will Raide be able to forgive Grace when he finds out who she really is?

We loved the characters, Gracie’s takedowns as a bounty hunter were entertaining and funny, she is a badass sassy heroine with a back bone but still had a soft side to her. Raide holy hotness he will have you swooning, he has a tough, hard exterior yet underneath it all we were shown a softer side to him. He is a man of few words, but when he does open up he is full of tenderness and warmth. We also enjoyed the secondary characters; Grace's father, is a perfect man you can see why she followed in his footsteps. Don and Vance, her work colleagues believed in her when others doubted her, we are hoping Vance gets a book.

A great start to the Alpha's Heart Series, we can wait for the next installment.
